Introducing the Sparrowhawk X1 SV!

The latest build from Filbert Shipyards, the Sparrowhawk is a mid-level SV that has a lot of upgrade capability and a modular role.

The ship features room for a pilot and 5 passengers, so it can serve as a dropship of sorts but don't limit it to that role alone! The Sparrowhawk has room to upgrade to T4 CPU and then a large expansion bay to add specific role-driven extras! For example; the default decals describe the expansion bay as being for a warp drive, but if you have no need for a warp capable SV then this space can be filled with container extensions to add extra storage. Want more ammo? Make it an aux ammo container; want more cargo? Cargo container; Want to set the ship up with mining lasers? Make it an ore/wood controller! The modular setup allows for customization from the pilot. There is also room for two more turrets, 6 total forward weapons, and a pair of 1x2 expansion bays (originally intended for RCS) for adding even more function.

The ship handles great and flies very similar to the Scarab Shuttle. The Sparrowhawk will fit easily into the SV hangar on the LX-1 Mjolnir and will dock to the overhead SV landing pad on the Starstrider IV. I designed the ship to fight (given its size) using what i call the 'whack-a-mole' POI attack strategy. The 'whack-a-mole' attack involves finding a barrier (mountain, hole, large rock) between you and the target that can protect your ship from weapons fire. Relying on the U/D thrusters you can pop up and back down ('c' key and space bar on standard setup) and take shots at the POI to pick off the turrets. With the upgraded Sparrowhawk (mine has 4 rockets) will make quick work of just about any POI and the shield helps when cover is hard to find.

The ship has been laid out on the interior to look 'lived in' so it might fit into some role play as well!
