================= Updated for Alpha 12 =================
A useful size mid game (tier 2, level 10 unlock) space station intended as a companion station to the Magellan CV. It is highly upgradeable up to Tier 4. In order to keep construction costs reasonable, it is mostly made from carbon composite with the core encased in armored concrete, though I have never seen the AI factions attack a space station yet.
I have tried to minimise reliance upon Neodynium by using small generators, fuel and O2 tanks and have left out the grow plots from the blueprint so they can be added later at your convenience.
Cargo controller storage can be extended by adding cargo extensions into the for pods underneath. Each is numbered (1-4) top match the numbering next to the controllers. Ensure that the first container added as connect with the marked block inside (see image inside a cargo pod). I suggest you add extended the storage as needed as this will consume alot of CPU and will prevent other upgrades until upgraded to Tier 4 CPU.
- Level 10 unlock, Tier 2 CPU compliant - 2 internal 9x9 pads, 2 9x9 pads on the roof and a 9x9 pad on each entrance way. The roof pad can accommodate the Magellan CV. - Personal quarters, including bed, shower and toilet with ATM outside - 10 x 16k Cargo containers - 4 x Cargo controllers, each with 120K storage (all easily upgradeable to 320k) - 1 x Ammo controller with 80k storage - 3 x Fridge - 3 x Food processor - 2 x Advanced constructor (with space for 2 more) - Locker - Armor/Weapon Repair - Medical - O2 Station Marked upgrade locations for - 54 grow plots - T3 and T4 extenders - 2 x Advanced Constructor (Total 4) - 2 x Deconstructor - 2 x Furnace - Offline protection (this base is not recommended for PvP, but there is space for this if required) - Pentaxid Tank - Shield - Repair Console - Repair Bay (Roof pads or Hangar pads) - 10 Turret mounts - Cargo extensions (30 in each pod for 4 x 240k bringing the total to 4 x 320k). - Generators upgradable to T1 (replace existing small generators as required) - Space for extra fuel and O2 tanks (remove the truss blocks under upstairs power/cpu area) - 2 locations for repair bay allowing internal SV/HV only repairs or on the roof for SV/HV/CV repairs
Why 'Mariana' This is named after the Mariana islands in the Pacific (which also give their name to the Mariana trench) as these were the stop over point for Magellan following the crossing of the pacific on his attempted circumnavigation of the globe.
