SSW is proud to announce our latest tool to help you get your work done. The Pickaxe is a Core 7, SC 3, unlock level 25 Combat AutoMiner, designed for harvesting the Rich and Dense asteroid fields in Reforged Eden. It comes packed from the factory with:
Warp Drive Advanced Shield Generator, two (2) Large Capacitors, and one (1) Large Charger (13k / 200) Eight (8) Positron turrets Four (4) Sentinel Flak turrets Four (4) Automated Ice Harvester Drill turrets Drill turret Two (2) 320k Container controllers Two (2) 320k Harvest controllers 120k Ammo controller 5 additional labeled Cargo boxes Two (2) Advanced Constructors Two (2) Small Constructors Two (2) Deconstructors Biomed Chamber, Oxygen Station, Armor Locker, Fridge and Food Processor, two (2) Wireless Long Range Radar Gravity Generator Glass Shower Gang approved
The Pickaxe has room for the additional two Advanced CPU extenders (see the blocks marked "A" in the bottom deck). With the additional CPU, Positron turrets can be swapped for T2 Laser turrets, four (4) fixed weapons of the pilot's choosing (Arty cannons preferred) can be added at marked block locations (see brochure pictures), and one or two of the massive Asteroid Excavator turrets can even be mounted (some dorsal/ventral trim blocks will need to be removed). Two additional turrets can be installed on either side of the storage "tanks" by removing further Deco and Truss pieces.
Fixed mining lasers (up to eight) can also be mounted in the nose by removing some surface blocks should the customer prefer manual drilling. Replace the Drill turret with nine (9) Steel blocks to maintain airtightness.
Removing the Grav Gen and three Deco blocks under the Fridge area allows fitment of a Large Capacitor Bank. Removal of plastic trim pieces in the shield area allows additional boosters to be installed (remove the Deco desk to place booster on floor beside Warp Drive). Shield combinations available: Capacitor Bank / 4x Shield Capacitor / 3x Shield Charger: 33k hp / 150 recharge Capacitor Bank / 4x Shield Capacitor / 4x Shield Charger: 30.5k hp / 250 recharge Capacitor Bank / 3x Shield Capacitor / 3x Shield Charger: 28k hp / 200 recharge Capacitor Bank / 3x Shield Capacitor / 4x Shield Charger: 25.5k hp / 300 recharge (I found this option most useful)
An Eco Mode switch turns off the thrusters and non-mining turrets which, in combination with the provided solar panels, allows the Pickaxe to burn no fuel at idle. A side ground-level entrance allows you to land planetside without needing further transport, but a generous-sized SV landing pad is also included for your convenience behind the bridge area.
In testing, the Pickaxe on the Anvil Season 4 server had no issue clearing and converting multiple Ice and Ore sites before needing to return to base. The Pickaxe when upgraded is able to clear hostile asteroid fields (not tested vs Legacy) and will help you bring home ALL the bacon.
