SSW's entire Special Projects Division is looking for a raise and presented this beauty after a few late nights in the office. The Thrace is an SC1 unlock lvl 25 Core3 CV that comes from the factory packed with:

T1 Shield Generator, two (2) Large Shield Capacitors, and one (1) Large Shield Charger (11.6k/150) Four (4) Advanced Laser Cannons Two (2) Laser Turrets One (1) Artillery Cannon Warp drive 200k Ammo controller plus two (2) 8k cargo boxes Small Constructor, Detector, Wireless, Biomedical and Oxygen stations, Fridge, Shower, Armor Locker EZ-Board™ Ramp

Office talk had devolved into "what's the cheapest combat barge we could build to take out a Sunat?" and the Engineers love nothing more than a challenge. Running at the ragged edge of Core3 CPU, the Thrace will pummel a Sunat Corvette into compliance in short order. With a little more patience and time, Al'Sunats also fall under the ... pounding? ... of the single nose-mounted Artillery Cannon. None of our test pilots feel like poking a Periat Frigate but on paper, it seems a possible target as are a variety of lower end bandit, pirate, and Warlord vessels.

Needless to say, a savvy pilot will ensure that the critical shield system does not break as the resulting mess can be quite extensive. Easy access out the top of the cockpit is provided for quick looting (or escape...).

The Thrace would actually make an interesting starter CV if it wasn't for the 1000 Zascosium and Erestrum ingots required.

With the addition of a second Improved CPU Extender (remove two blocks behind the Basic Extender), front, side, and rear thruster clusters can be upgraded to single Advanced thrusters. The two rear mounted downward-facing Medium Thrusters can also be upgraded to match their adjacent Large Thrusters. A third Large Generator is necessary and can be placed by removing the marked block in the Shield housing (upper left) and one cargo extension (also marked). Upgraded CPU also means a variety of weapon upgrades are available including a pair of missile turrets or extra Laser turrets or whatever the pilot deems useful.
