Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter

This is the Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor, more commonly known as Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter.

I've been inspired lately to take on some of my favorite ships that I have always found more difficult to get right. I usually only do models that I feel I can do better or differently than any other version on the workshop. This is no exception.

This build is not 100% dimensionally accurate. I actually worked off both blueprints AND the original layout of the Lego model (7143). From there, I made some spacial concessions to try to get the look and feel right. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I tried to make it fairly useful, with decent storage (ammo) and both an O2 station and armor locker. Unlike the canon movie version, this ship DOES have shields and a Hyperdrive, though the first version in the change notes did not..

This particular version is full hardened steel and T2 engines. I usually release all my builds with the best materials, but I recently converted my Type-8 Shuttle to min spec (only requiring Copper, Carbon Substrate, Silicon, and Iron) as a starter vessel so I could build it early game.
