The Surprise is a Micro-light CV-starter with a direct upgrade path to a 28-gun Attack ship capable of taking on the game's most difficult Dreadnaught-class enemies. The ship features expansive deck space for either turrets, or use as a flat-top carrier in the early game, with ease of access via suicide doors, or rear-ramp with top entry for high gravity boarding.

The surprise is a delicately and meticulously built Microlight designed to be the exact minimum weight, flight profile, and weapons profile for Dreadnaught-class encounters, whilst reserving an unprecedented 1.32 Million CPU capacity for weapon allocation, even with advanced Warp & Radars. The ship's dry weight is a mere 900 tons, with a mix of Combat, hardened, and steel plating to protect it's component section. it is designed to use only Medium engines, with clearly demarkated upgrade slots for engines to be added as the ships weapon load increases. At 2.1 Million CPU, The ship has an Ammunition capacity of 500 tons, w/ 2 x 320k of Volume-space. It's suggested loadout is a Mixed Battery of both T1, and T2 Plasma turrets, with 4 EMP turrets and a couple of anti-drone hitscans-of-choice.

As a starter, the Surprise! has unprecedented deck space and maneuverability, with a uniform yaw/pitch/roll of 70, and Nearly 6G lift. It will completely Hose atmospheric and planetary drones, dodging, strafing, and rolling over enemy fire with ease and grace. It comes with a standard compliment of 4 Capital Minigun Turrets, and a full spread of 15 omnidirectional, Anti-drone, anti personnel sentries, it's sentries alone are capable of dispatching drones in both atmosphere, and space, as well as quickly clearing out ground trooops while your larger turrets prioritize larger device-targets.

The ship is an incredibly able shield-fighter, with what is likely the smallest hitbox of any ship to ever mount this armament, being 46 x 52 x 12 meters tall. The surprise has 6 Armor-reenforced Chin-mounts for extremely-accurate manual weapons or mining lasers, and an available 3x3 over the cockpot for a retractable Drill or Multiturret. The ship comes standard with large constructor, warp, full medical, Equipment suites & accomodations.
