Val'ruun Courser

Introducing the Val'ruun Courser, the latest build from Filbert Shipyards!

The Val'ruun Courser is a Pirate Combat CV that features enough multi-role function that it can also be used as a small mobile mini-base! The Val'ruun handles similar to the Claymore in combat but is slightly more agile than its predecessor. The design is made to match some of the other in-game pirate CV's but with more armor and firepower than the existing in-game pirate CV fleet.

The SV/CV landing pad fits (and is designed for) the Barnacle Mk I micro mining and salvage CV that was built for the February Anvil Designers challenge! Special thanks to Rhogar for helping with the testing and to JTKe Gaming for giving an earlier version a test run on the Anvil Test Drive stream (Friday's at around 5pm est on JTKeGaming's twitch) where the Val'ruun showed it packs the armor and firepower needed to take out an Infector, which means this ship can be used to collect quantum cores!

Another special thanks to Xcaliber's Anvil both for the Discord and the Anvil RE Server, the best Empyrion Server around, where the Val'ruun has been used as my mobile base for the last week.

The ship has been filled with 'RP' type deco and yet it still maintains a stout level of combat fitness. Built with a full combat steel hull and armed with a variety of turrets and fixed weaponry this ship can dish out a solid punch, and take one too. In combat, much like the claymore, the entire front section is made to be expendable allowing for some level of 'tanking' on an opponent. The fuel and O2 have been spread out across the ship to eliminate the claymore's main weakness. The engine pods have had their void space filled with hardened steel or regular steel blocks to limit chaining so when one thruster blows it wont take out the rest.

Combat, of course, is just one aspect of this ships utility. The Val'ruun is home to a spacious hangar (with a 7x5 hangar door), an 18 growplot farm (for food or medicine production), an SV/micro CV landing pad at the rear, loads of cargo space, dual ammo controllers, both an advanced constructor and a deconstructor, and more! All these functions allow for you to hunt, process, and build wherever you go! Fight, build, live all in one ship.

The ship has room for upgrades including a repair bay, extra room for more gens if needed (in the 'racks' on the ceiling of the hangar) and more surface are for turrets (check out the vanilla version for an idea on placement)

The Val'ruun Courser has been a really fun project to build and fly and i really hope you all enjoy it as much as i have!
