White-Star

A capital ship; the White Star, scaled down by 1/2, from the TV series Babylon 5.

The rooms are: engine room, cargo bay, crew quarters, hydroponics, a semi-engineering room, captain’s quarters, and the bridge. The entrance to the ship is in the back. Blockcount: 10,803; total production time: 13hr. 37min.

Currently there’s 8 pulse lasers facing forward and a rocket launcher (in place of the beam weapon), with room to add auto-cannons. There isn’t a hanger bay (no room for one), but there is room for small vessels to attach on top of the ship and on the wings.

I mainly made this ship because the White Star is one of my favorites, but it seems to function pretty well as a regular capital vessel.

Updated for the alpha release, I kept the exterior texture the same because (in my opinion) while trying the new smooth texture, it made the exterior very plain. For the interior, I tried to keep aspects of the White Star intact, while still trying out the new textures.

To save on fuel, I grouped the RCS’s and the thrusters together in “Idle Mode” and if you want to cruise to a location, you can manually turn on the extra-large thrusters (so you won’t have to keep holding down the forward button).
