Adorable Enemies (Space Age)
Tired of being chased by scary bugs? This mod gives every enemy a cute makeover. Appearance only — no gameplay changes. Same health, same damage, same difficulty, just adorable. Safe to add to or remove from an existing save at any time.
What it changes
Nauvis
- Biters and spitters become cute slimes (spitters have little tentacles so you can tell them apart from biters).
- Worms become slimes too.
- Biter and spitter nests become bushes (spitter nests have a purple tint).
Gleba
- Pentapods (wriggler, strafer, stomper) become glowing critters; their legs are hidden for a clean look.
- Egg rafts become glowing green orbs.
Vulcanus
- Demolishers get a dragon head with a stone-bead body.
Everywhere
- Defeated enemies leave a faint grey "x_x" corpse that fades after a few seconds.
- The Factoriopedia "Enemies" group icon becomes a slime.
Optional extras (enabled by default)
All can be turned off individually in Settings → Mod settings → Startup:
- Adorable egg icons — the biter egg becomes a speckled yellow egg, and the pentapod
egg becomes a glowing green orb matching the egg rafts.
- Mild defeat screen — the game over picture is replaced with a starry night scene
of sleepy slimes napping on your factory. No hard feelings.
- Legless spidertron icons — the spidertron item icon and research picture show just
the torso. Factorio's built-in arachnophobia mode only hides the legs in the world; this makes the menus match.
Compatibility
- Works with or without the Space Age expansion (Space Age content is reskinned only when it is installed).
- Visual only, so it should be compatible with most mods. Other mods that replace the
same sprites may take priority.
This is a cosmetic mod — it does not change balance, stats, or behaviour in any way.
