About Exteros' QoL System - Cheats Addon

From Factorio Mod Portal

Cheat addon for Exteros' QoL System: reach distance, crafting and mining speed, inventory slots, stack size, productivity on every recipe, and roboport logistic, construction and radar range. Nothing changes until you enable Cheat Mode.

Exteros Quality of Life System - Cheats

An optional addon for Exteros' QoL System. It holds everything that changes the rules of the game rather than the number of clicks, so the QoL System itself never touches your game's balance.

Factorio Version Factorio 2.1 License: MIT

Features

Nothing does anything until you turn on Cheat Mode in the startup settings. The per-player values can then be changed in the mod settings or in the QoL System's Settings Hub (SHIFT + E).

⚠️ Reach - Raises interaction, building, and loot pickup distance well beyond the normal reach.

⚠️ Crafting Speed - Changes your character's manual crafting speed.

⚠️ Mining Speed - Changes your character's manual mining speed.

⚠️ Inventory Slots - Adds bonus slots to your character's inventory.

⚠️ Stack Size - Changes item stack sizes, either as a multiplier or as an absolute value.

⚠️ Productivity - Unlocks productivity modules for every recipe, including those that normally refuse them, and sets your own productivity cap.

⚠️ Roboport Range - Multiplies or sets an absolute value for the logistic radius, construction radius, personal roboport construction radius, and (where a roboport has one set explicitly) radar range of every roboport. Does not scale with quality.

Turning Cheat Mode off removes the reach, speed, and inventory bonuses from your character again.

Upgrading from the QoL System's built-in Cheat Mode

Cheat Mode was part of Exteros' QoL System until version 0.3.2 / 0.4.2. Install this addon and all your cheat settings carry over unchanged. If you update the QoL System without it, the bonuses Cheat Mode left on your character are removed when you load the save.

Fuel Stats and Recycler Return Rate moved out

As of 0.3.3 / 0.4.3, Fuel Stats and Recycler Return Rate live in Exteros' QoL Tweaks instead, each behind its own switch rather than Cheat Mode. If you already had either configured here, install Tweaks and your settings carry over unchanged; just turn the matching switch on there.

Installation

Install through the in-game mod manager, or download it from the Factorio Mod Portal. Exteros' QoL System is installed with it as a dependency.

Compatibility

  • Factorio 2.0 and 2.1 - released as two rows built from the same source, like the QoL System.
  • Space Age, Quality, and Elevated Rails - supported.
  • Missing a mod? I can only switch off features for mods I know about, and there are far too many on the mod portal to find them all. If you use a mod that does the same thing as one of my features and both run at once, please open an issue with its name and I will add it.
