About Flamethrower Rework
From Factorio Mod PortalBalances flamethrowers. Flamethrowers deal considerably less damage, but will hit enemies much more reliably without dragging behind them. Fluid consumption is increased. Heavy and light oil give much better damage buffs. Everything is configurable, including range and firing arc size.
FULL CHANGES: AIMING:
- target leading
- 1.5x fire stream speed
DAMAGE:
- 0.2x, or 1/5th fire damage
- heavy oil buffs damage by 20%
- light oil buffs damage by 40%
OTHER BALANCE:
- 6x fluid consumption
SETTINGS:
- settings for all of the above
- settings for minimum range, maximum range, and turret firing arc
TODO:
- Do stuff with the handheld flamethrower and tank flamethrower. I'm not sure exactly what yet, considering I've never had a need to use them. Maybe that's the issue, they're not useful...
