About Hide Editor Clouds
From Factorio Mod PortalAutomatically hide/disable cloud shadows while the map editor is open.
Purpose
Hiding clouds makes lab tiles nice and uniform for screenshots, but it's a global setting rather than a per-save setting, and I inevitably forget to re-enable clouds when I return to a real game. This mod fixes that.
Features
- Automatically hide cloud shadows while using the editor controller. Works with
/editor, mods like Editor Extensions, and scripting. - Handles changing, creating, importing, and deleting surfaces.
- Multiplayer support. Any player using the editor will disable clouds on that surface for all players.
FAQ
- Can clouds be disabled on a per-player basis rather than the whole surface?
- This is not possible with the current modding API.
- Does this mod have a performance impact?
- Nope.
