About IndustrialCraft - Quality Converter
From Factorio Mod PortalA chest that adjusts the quality of entire stacks of items. It can either lower them by 1 tier or increase them. Depending on the settings. It can also be increased by the % chance (if it fails, the stack will be destroyed) or lowered directly to normal quality.
The main reason why this mod was created was that I needed to reduce unwanted higher quality to lower. If for example the assembler creates a higher quality than you cannot use, then you have no way to reduce it and you have to keep it in a chest somewhere. This mod solves this problem! And adds some extra features.
Quality reducer
- Reduces quality to previous or directly to normal
Quality upgrader
- Increases the quality to the next or directly to the last possible
- Takes into account current quality research
- Possible to set % chance to increase quality 0-100 (otherwise the item will be destroyed)
- It is possible to disable it in the configuration
Reducer / Upgrader collector
- Two special chests into which items that have been placed in the chest are moved (teleported) to reduce or increase quality
Important
- All chests work directly with entire stacks of items, not individual items
- Input and output chests share the same inventory, so there is no need to build multiple output chests
- If logistics networks are enabled, robots cannot distinguish between the type of input or output chests. Enable this setting only when disabling the Quality upgrader chest
- I had to take inspiration from other mods because none of them suited what I needed for the mod pack. So I apologize in advance to everyone I borrowed an idea from :)
