About Inventory Tweaks

From Factorio Mod Portal

Combat and production intel for your factory, plus inventory quality-of-life helpers.

Combat and production intel for your factory, plus inventory quality-of-life helpers. All intel features are enabled by default and can be toggled individually in Options > Mod settings.

Intel features

  • Enemy weakness panel — hover an enemy to see its resistances, with its

biggest weakness highlighted. Works with modded enemies.

  • Resource depletion timer — hover a resource to see the patch's remaining

total, extraction rate per minute, active drills, and an estimated time to depletion.

  • Bottleneck indicator — colored rings on production machines: amber for

missing ingredients, red for full output, blue for low power.

  • Enemy health bars — color-coded bars above damaged enemies.
  • Pollution watch — a one-time chat notification with a clickable map ping

when a discovered nest starts absorbing your pollution.

  • Attack warning and tracking — when an enemy attack wave sets off: chat

message with a map ping, a map alert and a sound, then a moving map marker follows the group. Expansion parties stay silent. Respects fog of war.

  • Turret reload — a shortcut button and hotkey (CTRL + R) refill nearby

turrets from your inventory (20 rounds per turret), empty turrets first, keeping an ammo reserve for the player. Optional automatic mode.

  • Item statistics — CTRL + middle-click an item to open a panel with

total production, current rates, and a ten-minute history chart.

Inventory features

> Note: the inventory buttons are hidden by default. Enable them in > Options > Mod settings > Per player > "Show inventory buttons". > All keyboard shortcuts work whether the buttons are shown or not.

A panel docked to the left of your inventory:

  • Sort — sort & merge your main inventory (also CTRL + ,)
  • Deposit — tops up nearby chests and vehicles with items they already

contain (also CTRL + SHIFT + D)

  • Restock — refills your ammo / repair packs (configurable name=amount

list) from nearby chests and vehicles

  • Pickup — grabs items lying on the ground, with an optional Magnet

toggle for continuous pickup

  • Bin — destroys the held item, or opens a picker to destroy items from

a list

Sort and Deposit also appear in chest windows. Slots locked with a middle-click filter are never emptied and never appear in the destroy picker. Optional auto-sort when closing the inventory.

Settings

Intel modules: global toggles, changeable in-game (admin-only in multiplayer). Inventory: per-player settings (buttons, action radius, restock list, auto-sort). All keybinds are rebindable in Options > Controls > Mods.

Localised in English and French, with a German mod description.
