About Ocean Migration
From Factorio Mod PortalHave you ever spawned on an island and killed all of the natives, then felt a bit lonely? This mod allows biters to migrate back, so you'll never be alone again! Aren't you happy your friends are back?\n\nNote: should be fully compatible with Rampant and Krastorio 2. Good in large biter modpacks.
Ocean Migration lets biters cross deep oceans and rebuild nests on distant land once evolution is high enough. They earn migration budget over time, scaled by evolution and the budget scaling setting. Tune frequency, costs, cooldowns, nest count, and optional experimental island-building.
Example: at 80% evolution and 2x scaling, biters earn 160 budget/min. A 300-tile crossing with 2 nests costs 2350 budget.
NOTE: They do not gain this ability until 50% evolution, by default! If it's not working, this is why.
