The research control tower is a building that allows you to set the active research via an input signal.
The research control tower functions similarly to the research control combinator that it is based on. Give it the appropriate input circuit signal and it will set your tech research for you.
So then whats new?
The Research control tower is given a new home at the end of the tech tree and a new recipe befitting of a megabasing item. The real change comes with the signals, no longer do you need to memorize a clunky set of mappings for which signal goes to which tech. The mod will automatically create a new set of signals, one for each infinite tech in the game. Because these signals are created dynamically from the technology information they will support any infinite tech including modded ones!
