The Doomsday Ark mod grants early access to spaceships with easier volume upgrades and drastically increased fuel calorific value for effortless takeoff. Most ground buildings can be constructed aboard the ship. However, deploying the spaceship console will attract terrifying swarm attacks (this option can be disabled). Players must launch the spaceship to escape the planet and reach orbit to develop in safety.

This MOD draws inspiration from some of the designs of the neighboring warpship. However, the ship of the warpship feels a bit weak. It's just a base without an engine, no ship shape, and there is no specific destination for flying around. It's like constantly randomly traversing maps while claiming them as "warping". SE managed to achieve this. SE's ships do have a ship-like feeling, with flight, engines, and fuel. However, the disadvantage of SE is that the ship restrictions are too strict, and most of the time you don't need to fight; you just fly. Then, you constantly operate assembly lines. I wanted to combine the two, having the feeling of a ship, but also having combat and return.

该MOD参考了隔壁跃迁飞船的一些设计，飞船降落会引来大量的虫群进攻，而起飞会摧毁行星上的所有设施，但是这是可以重复的。行星上原有的矿石还在，玩家甚至可以控制飞船去更远的地方停靠开采。 设计这个MOD的主要原因是想设计出一种有挖矿，战斗，撤离感觉的MOD，玩家飞船着陆采矿，和虫群战斗，然后起飞撤离，返回空间站卸载物资经营发展，星区内的行星你都可以去。 其实设计这个MOD主要也是因为我是跃迁飞船MOD的忠实粉丝，我玩了很多个周目 但是跃迁飞船的飞船感觉太弱了点，就是个基地，没有引擎，没有飞船的造型，飞来飞去没有具体的目的地，说是跃迁其实你就是在不断的随机刷地图。 而SE就做到了这点，SE的飞船确实有飞船的感觉，有飞行，有引擎，有燃料。但是SE的缺点是飞船限制的太死，而且大部分时候你是不需要战斗的，你只是单纯的飞行。然后不断的摆流水线 我想把两者结合起来，有飞船的感觉，但是又要战斗和返航
