About Winkrometer's Tweaks

From Factorio Mod Portal

A set of small tweaks for the base game and other mods by Winkrometer. Reduces flash brightness from nuclear (atomic) bombs and other nukes. Adds technology for more Bob's Enemies' alien artifact recipes.

Features:

*** Nuclear Explosion Eyestrain

The graphical flash from a nuclear (atomic) explosion is painfully bright for people with light sensitivity. By default, this mod dims and lengthens the nuke flash to keep it noticable but easier on the eyes. All adjustments to the flash are fully configurable. Supports both the base game's Atomic Bomb and (theoretically) any projectile that uses the 'screen-burn' visual effect. Verified to work with the Atomic Artillery Shell from Bob's Warfare.

Known Limitation: All 'screen-burn' effects are overridden to the values from this mod's settings. The base game's Atomic Bomb and the Atomic Artillery Shell from Bob's Warfare are identical without this mod (and so remain identical, but changed, with this mod), but if you have another mod installed which uses the 'screen-burn' effect with different settings, those will be overwritten by this mod.

*** Alien Artifact Recipe Extension

Colored alien artifacts from Bob's Enemies can be difficult to obtain when enemies are evolving slowly. By default, if alien artifacts from Bob's Enemies are available, this mod adds a new technology to convert from 500 base alien artifacts to a single alien artifact of any other color. This technology can be disabled in settings.
