Includes demo and full-game assets. The full roster and all gameplay systems have not been ported yet.
Latest update
- NEW: Cenobite difficulty in Options > Hellraiser > Cenobites. Choose Original tuning, Fast or Relentless. Fast is the default; hosts and admins control it. Currently applies to Chatterer.
- Faster chains launch sooner and track moving targets. Cover still blocks them. Each attached chain cuts movement speed by 30% and breaks when you move out of range or behind cover.
- Chatterer's movement and walking animation speed follow the selected preset. His finishing animations keep their original timing.
Previous update
- Pinhead, Butterball and the Female Cenobite as physics ragdolls.
- Chatterer's chain kill works on stairs and uneven ground, with both arms torn off on the finishing hit.
- Blocked grabs release cleanly, and the attack works again after respawning.
Characters from Hellraiser: Revival, with their original models, animations and sounds. Includes spawnable NPCs, physics ragdolls and separate armour, weapon and cabinet props.
NPCs
- Chatterer, with three close-range grabs, an uneven-ground chain kill, chain snares and Hell Vision for nearby players.
- Six melee cultists, plus pistol, SMG and shotgun cultists.
- Armoured Shotgunner and a separate cabinet ambush variant.
- Two Runners and seven Hellghouls.
In game
- NPCs use sight and hearing to find you. Gunfire, explosions and impacts draw their attention; break sight to give them the slip.
- Original hit reactions, attack, turning and reload animations, voices and death animations.
- Armed cultists change firing positions and use nearby cover when threatened by a gun. They step out to shoot and return to cover between volleys.
- Encounter music follows nearby searches and fights, with a separate Chatterer chase track. Music, volume and combat tactics have their own NPC options.
- Chatterer kills on the finishing hit. Victims fall at his feet, and the arm-rip attack tears off both arms. Visible enemies are chased directly; NPCs search their last known position when they lose sight. Bullet and melee hit reactions use the original animations.
- Cultists hold and drop stock GMod weapons when the weapons pack is missing: pistols, SMGs, shotguns and crowbars. With the weapons pack installed, they keep their Hellraiser guns and machetes. Walk over a dropped weapon or press Use to collect it; remaining rounds are kept.
- Chatterer summons chains that slow you down. Dodge them before they attach, or pull far enough away to break them.
- Placeable wall chains hold your hands until you tap Use to escape. These are separate from his slowing chains.
- Carry the cube to stagger normal Hellghouls with eligible killing hits. Fire, explosions, executions and close-range shotgun blasts do not trigger it.
- Head removal, breakable shotgunner armour and physical ragdolls.
Where to find them
- NPCs: Q > NPCs > Hellraiser: Revival.
- Wall chains: Q > Entities > Hellraiser: Revival.
- Ragdolls and accessories: the Hellraiser: Revival Ragdolls and Props spawnlists. The new trio is in Hellraiser: Revival Cenobites.
- Options: Q > Options > Hellraiser: Revival > NPCs. Roaming and encounter Hell Vision can be switched off.
- The armoured cabinet ambush wakes when a player approaches. The regular Armoured Shotgunner spawns without a cabinet.
Weapons pack support This addon runs on its own. With Hellraiser: Revival Weapons and Dandy's Hellraiser Base (DHRB), cultists hold and drop the matching Hellraiser weapons. Without them, they use stock GMod guns and crowbars. The weapons pack also adds finishers, bottle distractions, bear traps and the optional detection HUD.
Current limits This is the current port, not the full game roster. Pinhead, Butterball and the Female Cenobite are ragdolls, not AI enemies yet. Navigation, cover selection and some attacks are adapted for GMod. Cover and chain placement use nearby map geometry. Remaining characters and map-specific scripting are still being worked on. Tested in Sandbox on gm_construct and gm_flatgrass, including a two-client dedicated server. Other gamemodes and unusual maps may behave differently.
The studio portraits and animation loops are Blender renders of the included models and original animations. First-person grabs, weapon drops and the new Cenobite ragdoll preview were captured in GMod.
Original game assets belong to Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games. Unofficial fan addon.
