Sandbox & Pokémon | Pokémon Pixel Expedition
Begin a Pokémon journey inside Garry's Mod: explore the environment, find and capture companions, build a team, use moves, and challenge wild trainers, Team Rocket, gym leaders, and other players.
Main Pokémon assets: Pokémon Infinite Fusion. Pokémon sprites and parts of the Pokémon data are based on Pokémon Infinite Fusion (PIF) community resources. Sprite records are tracked through FusionDex with the credited names preserved. Thanks to every artist and maintainer who made these community resources available.
Features
- Living map ecology: Spawn logic reads water, materials, nearby models, indoor/outdoor context, snow, darkness, vegetation, and other environmental clues. Water Pokémon prefer water, while flying Pokémon can fly and land. The global wild Pokémon limit is 20. - Capture and Partner Ball: Choose a starter Pokémon on first entry. Switch the ball between Capture and Partner modes: Capture mode catches wild Pokémon, while Partner mode throws or recalls the selected party partner. Ball types have different capture rates; weakened targets are easier to catch and the sequence includes shake, success, and failure feedback. - Turn-based battles and progression: Moves have types, power, accuracy, PP, and effects. Pokémon learn moves by level in order and can carry up to four. Nature, ability, IVs, EVs, status, and type matchups affect combat and growth; benched party members also receive experience. - Field companions: A partner can follow, wait, attack, use learned field moves, and protect its trainer. Field moves consume PP and deal damage. Partners can be injured in battles and on the map, and ordinary weapons can damage Pokémon. - Trainers and gyms: Trainer level affects wild Pokémon levels and rarity. Maps can generate trainers, Team Rocket members, and gym leaders whose teams fit the environment. Victories award money or items; eight badges unlock the League challenge. - Shop, healing, and breeding: Find traders for medicine, Poké Balls, and evolution items. Nurse Joy restores the party for free. Gender, breeding, eggs, Pokémon details, party and box management, nicknames, and item use are supported. - Single-player and multiplayer: Party and progression data are saved by SteamID and managed by the current server. Player-versus-player Pokémon battles are supported. Multiplayer servers must run the addon server-side; cross-server data is managed separately by each server. - Chinese and English UI: The default follows Garry's Mod language settings, with a manual switch in the addon UI. A manual choice overrides automatic detection.

Code and runtime
The addon is implemented in Garry's Mod Lua on top of the DrGBase NextBot architecture. The server handles battles, capture, party saves, spawning, and item resolution; the client handles menus, battle presentation, and feedback. Main code is in lua/pkmn/, lua/entities/pkmn_nextbot/, and lua/weapons/weapon_pkmn_pokeball.lua.
Effect resource pack: contents and provenance
- SNPC Particle Resource Pack: The effect pack used by this addon is supplied in K:\openai\snpc_particle_resource_pack. Its addon.json metadata lists the title as “SNPC Particle Resource Pack”, type Effects, and tags Fun and Roleplay. - Integrated effect families: Fire and flame trails (fireflow, flamethrower, fire_ring, largefire), electricity and arcs (electrical_fx, electric1, energy_electric), beams and projectiles (beam, laser, weapon_fx), water and bubbles (bubble, waterfall, waterdrips), dust, sand and smoke, impacts and explosions, poison/spore/status effects, plus aura, energy, and shield effects. Moves select effects by type, range, and hit behavior, and the same definitions are reused in field and battle presentation. - File locations: The PCF preload list is in lua/autorun/rscpck_pcf_precache.lua. Shared trajectory, projectile, and navigation helpers are in lua/autorun/rscpck_globals.lua. The addon calls existing particles, materials, and sounds from the pack; it does not present third-party files as original work. - Attribution: The pack was supplied from the publisher's local directory. It currently contains no author name, public homepage, or license file beyond addon.json, so this description does not invent an author or permission claim. Folder names preserve upstream Source/Garry's Mod and community references such as Dark_Souls, Insurgency, Fallout, Day_Of_Infamy, and Half-Life_Alyx. Their original authors and licenses remain with their respective rights holders; follow the pack or upstream license when redistributing.
