Star Wars Vehicles: Extras:

Unofficial extra content pack for implementation in other vehicle addons. This pack contains extra code, materials, and sounds shared across various other workshop addons. Not really useful on its own (unless you like sounds).

THIS ADDON IS NOT USEFUL ON IT'S OWN. IT'S MEANT TO BE USED AS A REQUIREMENT AND FOR PEOPLE WHO MAKE SHIPS!

For Developers:

Using this Addon in Your Vehicle:

If you'd like to use any content found in this addon inside your on vehicle, please do! That's what this is for. Below I will detail the usage of the different types of resources found in this pack.

Sounds:

Sounds are the most likely thing you will use, luckily you don't have to worry about where each sound is located because I've already added all the sounds to the sound cache using sound.Add()

Normally, when you want to use a sounds you'd have to do:

-- Note the Sound() portion
self:FireTorpedo(pos, e, 1500, 200, Color(255, 50, 100, 255), 15, true, Sound("weapons/proton_torpedo.wav"))

However, since I've added the sounds to be automatically loaded, simply use the name of the sound from the cache. Please see the sound table below for reference of all sounds added.

-- Note the Sound() portion is now gone and replaced with the name from the table
self:FireTorpedo(pos, e, 1500, 200, Color(255, 50, 100, 255), 15, true, "proton_torpedo")

Sound Table

Notice, sounds that are variations on others are numerically ordered (such as r2_chatter_01 - r2_chatter_04). This behavior allows you to easily select a random sound in your code if desired.

An example of this is:

self:EmitSound("r2_chatter_0" .. math.random(4))[/code]

The entities are useful for things like weapons.
