A perk expansion pack for Zedternal Reborn's endless mode.

Zedternal Unlimited adds 47 custom perks, 300+ skills and 26 weapon upgrade types to Zedternal Reborn. Each perk is built around its own mechanic, with its own skill tree, milestone abilities at levels 10 and 20, and HUD elements made for it.

Key Features

Roguelike Upgrade System

Between waves you buy perk, skill, weapon and equipment upgrades from the trader. Six rarity tiers affect what shows up, so the trader looks different every run.

Evolution & Progression

A lot of the perks have mechanics that build up the more you play them, so sticking with a perk pays off. Every perk gets a new mechanic at level 10, a capstone at level 20, and its own pool of skills, so builds differ from one perk to the next.

Custom HUD & UI

Perks add their own HUD elements where they need them, like evolution stage counters, dosh trackers and escalation indicators. They sit inside the existing KF2 interface.

Installation

Note: This is an expansion for Zedternal Reborn and needs the base mod to run. It adds to Zedternal Reborn's existing systems.

Dedicated Server Setup

Quick Setup

[olist] [*] Subscribe to both Zedternal Reborn and Zedternal Unlimited on the Workshop [*] Add both mods to your server's workshop subscription list [*] Launch your server or singleplayer game with one of these commands (replace KF-SteamFortress with any map you like):

1. Default Zedternal Reborn gamemode (random weapons appear in the trader every wave)

2. Zedternal Reborn with all weapons available in the trader

[*] Only put one ?mutator= in the command line. If you run other mutators, separate them with commas in that same parameter, otherwise only the last ?mutator= is used and DKMutator never loads. [/olist]

Registering the perks, skills and upgrades

Zedternal Reborn only loads what is listed in KFZedternalReborn_Upgrades.ini. If the perks don't show up in your trader, they are almost certainly not registered in that file.

It contains every entry in the pack:

• 26 WeaponUpgrade_Upgrade lines for [ZedternalReborn.Config_WeaponUpgrade]

Paste each block under its matching section header, keep the entries you already have from other packs, and restart the server. The list is too long for this description, which is why it lives on the site. The configurator can generate the same file for you if you would rather click than paste.

Server Configuration

All perks are configurable through Zedternal Reborn's configuration system. Server admins can:

• Enable or disable individual perks
• Adjust perk availability per wave
• Configure skill pools and restrictions
• Set the unlock rules that gate perks behind base perk levels

FAQ / Troubleshooting

Q: Do I need Zedternal Reborn installed?

Yes. This is an expansion for Zedternal Reborn. It extends the base mod's systems and won't run without it.

Q: I don't see the perks in the trader

Two common causes. First, they may not be registered in KFZedternalReborn_Upgrades.ini, see the server setup section above. Second, most perks are locked behind a prerequisite, so on wave 1 you will only see the perks that have no requirement. Level a base Zedternal Reborn perk and the rest appear.

Q: Does this work on dedicated servers?
