The most extreme difficulty combined with the brutality of 1 HP

Insurmountable is the 10th and, so far, the highest difficulty level — one step above Unutterable (includes a Realism version). Nobody has ever come close to beating a full campaign on Insurmountable

Insurmountable changes:

- Non-headshots barely deal damage - Nearly all infected have greatly increased health - The Tank now has 20,000 HP - Pretty much every infected one-hits the player - Temporary health only (first aid kits give temp health too) - Friendly fire means instant death - Always black and white and limping - Most infected are much faster - Greatly increased spawn rates - Special infected limit is 4 - Massive hordes - Other small changes not worth listing separately

Combined with the 1HP system:

- Survivors are permanently locked at 1 HP - First aid kits are replaced by defibrillators - Pain pills are replaced by adrenaline - You cannot run — you are always limping (Insurmountable limp speed) - Incapacitation and lives follow the original Insurmountable rules

Result:

The pure cruelty of Insurmountable with the absolute fragility of 1 HP. One touch and you’re dead. Only for those who truly know what they’re dealing with

If you’ve never played anything past Expert and someone told you to try this “because it’s fun,” you’re being trolled. Start with Nightmare or Fiendish instead
