Overview
Adds advanced military units to your Left 4 Dead 2 matches. This script introduces both standard soldiers and elite variants featuring tactical behavior, custom animations, reinforcement calls, dynamic dodges, melee combat, and balanced item and weapon drop systems.
Key Features
- Enemy Variants: Standard soldiers and elite units equipped with tactical combat capabilities.
- Tactical AI: Enemies can retreat at low health, call in reinforcements from a distance (standard soldiers), and execute dynamic dodges (exclusive to elite units). Elite units shoot only when they have a line of sight, and both variants will attack players who get too close. Standard soldiers can heal themselves and smash obstacles if anything blocks their path, while elite units never heal.
- Damage & Death Systems: Support for headshot multipliers, exclusive cinematic death animations for elites, and percentage-based item drops (first-aid kits, adrenaline, pills, and rifles with ammunition).
Loadout & Stats
- Equipment: Both variants are fully equipped with an M16 Rifle and a Combat Knife.
- Standard Soldier: 500 Health. M16 shots deal 8 damage to survivors; Knife melee attacks deal 25 damage.
- Elite Variant: 1000 Health. M16 shots deal 8 damage to survivors; Knife melee attacks deal 25 damage.
Spawn Locations
- Standard soldiers have a 50% chance to spawn dynamically along the map's flow progression when players leave safe areas or during major campaign events (such as finale radio activations). You can now use the settings to adjust the spawn probability and choose which maps or campaigns they appear in.
- Elite Spawns: Elite units have a 25% chance to appear and can only be deployed when called as reinforcements by standard soldiers during combat.
Note
These units do not replace any survivor character. They are entirely standalone entities that only borrow voice lines from Coach and Ellis. Please note that pathfinding is not 100% perfect, and units may occasionally get stuck or act idle due to rare engine bugs.
