About BuildFFA
From SpigotMCFast-paced BuildFFA with kits, clutch items and multiple maps
BuildFFA
BuildFFA is a complete BuildFFA minigame for Spigot and Paper (and forks like Purpur). Everybody fights in one arena with a knockback stick, builds with sandstone that decays on its own, grabs clutch items from loot points and tries to push the others into the void. Maps rotate on a timer, stats are saved, and almost everything can be changed in the config.

How a round plays
- Players join with /buildffa join (or automatically when they join the server) and get the kit: sword, knockback stick, pickaxe and 64 sandstone.
- Blocks you place stay for 15 seconds and turn into a warning block shortly before they vanish. Only blocks placed by players can be broken.
- You die when you fall below the lowest point of the map. The sides and the height are free, so you can build as high and as wide as you like.
- Loot points drop random clutch items. Every loot point holds one item at a time and refills after a countdown that a hologram shows.
- Every kill refills your blocks, gives coins and counts towards your kill streak. A player who knocks someone into the void gets the kill, as long as the last hit was recent.
- After a few minutes the next map starts, with a countdown in chat.
Features
- Kit editor. Every player arranges the slots of their own kit with /buildffa kit or at an NPC. Click an item, then click the slot it should go to. The layout is saved per player.
- Kit editor NPC. A fake player that only exists in packets. Every player sees it with their own skin and it turns to look at them. A click opens the kit editor.
- Clutch items. Rescue Platform, Booster, Grappling Hook, Jump Boost and Super Knockback. All of them live in the config, you can change them, add your own and give them weights.
- Double jump. Press jump again in the air. The cooldown is shown in the action bar. It can be switched off for single maps.
- Maps. Any number of maps and any number of loot points per map. A map without loot points works too. With one map there is no rotation, with several the next map is random (never the same twice in a row) or in order.
- Protection. No building, breaking or hitting around the spawn, no building on loot points.
- Stats. Kills, deaths, K/D, kill streak, best streak and coins, saved in SQLite or MySQL. Coins can be internal or paid into your Vault economy, and can be switched off completely.
- Scoreboard and tab list. Fully configurable texts with colors, bold and gradients and placeholders for kills, deaths, streak, map, timer and more.
- Restart protection. If the server restarts or crashes in the middle of a game, players get their inventory and position back on the next join, and blocks that were left over are removed.
- Velocity and BungeeCord. Set auto-join on the arena server and proxy.leave-server to your lobby, and /buildffa leave sends players back.
- Stats page and JSON API. Optional. A ready made web page with leaderboards and player search, and a read only API with an API key for your own website.
- Updates without deleting files. New options are added to your config and messages automatically, a backup is kept, and items you deleted stay deleted.
Clutch items
- Rescue Platform: spawns a slime platform below you, one use. Size, depth and lifetime are configurable.
- Booster: launches you up and forward, one use. You do not take fall damage from it.
- Grappling Hook: hook a block to pull yourself there, or hook a player to pull them to you, one use.
- Jump Boost: a strong jump effect for a few seconds. Any potion effect works here, so you can make a speed or slow falling item the same way.
- Super Knockback: a blaze rod with Knockback 5 that is used up by the first player it hits.
- Your own items: copy an entry in the items section, change material, name, lore, enchantments and the action, and it is part of the loot. Every item can be switched on or off for a single map.
