DragonCare Addon for Ice and Fire CE
DragonCare is an addon for Ice and Fire: Community Edition focused on dragon taming, care, bonding, veterinary tools, tracking, farming, and world interaction.
Instead of treating dragons only as enemies or mounts, DragonCare expands them into long-term companions with their own care systems, visual states, and useful interactions.
Features
- Dragon Bonding System: Build a relationship with your tamed dragons through time, feeding, and careful treatment. Higher bond levels reward the player with useful symbiotic effects.
- Veterinary Tools: Collect dragon blood and scales without killing your dragon. Use the Dragon Blood Syringe, Scale Shears, and Dragon Painkillers to make resource gathering safer and more pet-friendly.
- Dragon Dirt and Cleaning: Tamed dragons gradually become dirty. Clean them with the Dragon Brush through an interactive QTE minigame. Dirt appears directly on the dragon using dynamic texture blending and client-side caching.
- Dragon Fruit Farming: Grow Dragon Fruit from seeds, watch the stem develop, and harvest fruit for dragon-related gameplay. The fully grown fruit and stem textures were created by artist LadaVesta.
- Dragon Phone: Track your tamed dragons using a custom device and HUD overlay. View their names, growth stages, index numbers, and distance in real time.
- Ash Poisoning System: Dragon ash becomes an environmental hazard. Use the Ash Sensor to detect toxic areas and Ash Tablets to treat poisoning.
- World Structures: Discover ruined hunter camps, abandoned guild halls, ruined dragon forges, and other dragon-related structures.
- Configurable Gameplay: Adjust balance, structure generation, cleaning difficulty, tool durability, cooldowns, dragon behavior, and many other systems through the configuration files.
Perfect Companion Mod
DragonCare pairs perfectly with More Color Dragon, my other addon for Ice and Fire CE.
More Color Dragon adds randomized body colors, independent eye colors, cross-element color mixing, genetic inheritance, and manual recoloring tools.
