About Psycho Villagers
From ModrinthMurderous psychopaths hiding among villagers
A somewhat scary and weird mod that adds a 10% chance for villagers to be hidden psychos who attack vulnerable targets, mostly at night.
You don’t have to wonder whether a village has psychos or not. Craft a Notepad and interact with villagers and other objects to find clues.
If all villagers say "nothing to worry about", there are likely no psychos in the village.
Restrains can be used to move villagers around and tie them to fences. Works like a lead.
Also may be useful:
- Blood can be cleared with a brush, and rain slowly washes it away too
- Corpses are buried with a shovel
- Hold SHIFT (sneak) to reduce the chances of being spotted or scaring psychos away when following them
- Using Notepad can open a screen where you can mark known villagers as suspects and as dead or missing
Config:
- You can manually spawn a psycho villager with "/psychovillagers spawn" command.
- In the config file you can turn off horror sounds, change psycho chance and more.
- The mod is configured for slower pace, if you want psychos to be more active, edit config. Specifically the rest_minutes catregory.
Also check out:
- Purge Night addon that adds a randomly accuring night event that lets villagers express their anger.
- Purification Night modpack for a short challenge around Purge Night event.
