Sculptory

Sculptory for Paper is the server side of Sculptory, an open-source world editor for Minecraft builders. Players who edit install the Sculptory mod for their loader (Fabric or NeoForge) on their client; everyone else joins with nothing installed. The server decides who may edit.

What players get

The whole editor: terrain, shape and heightmap brushes, selections and masks, paste and move with free rotation, schematics (.schem, .litematic, .nbt), a shared library, scatter, biomes, Generate and Extrude, and one undo history for all of it, saved with each world. Building by hand in Creative is in that history too.

What the server decides

• Permissions: Bukkit nodes, sculptory.*; LuckPerms or another permissions plugin decides per player or group. Without a grant, operators may edit.
• WorldGuard regions are respected (WorldGuard 7.0.12 with WorldEdit 7.3.9, optional): an edit changes only blocks where the player may both place and break.
• Other claim plugins (GriefPrevention, Lands, Towny, PlotSquared) don't limit bulk edits: fills, brushes and pastes fire no block events, like WorldEdit's. Building by hand does fire them.
• Limits: size and rate limits and job queues in plugins/Sculptory/server.json.

Install

1. Paper 1.21.1 (build 133). Put the jar in plugins/ and start the server. Spigot and Folia are not supported; on another Minecraft version the plugin refuses to enable and says why.
2. Players install the Sculptory mod for Fabric or NeoForge on their client, from GitHub Releases, the same build as the plugin's protocol.

Licence

AGPL-3.0-or-later, with a permission to combine it with Minecraft and Paper: servers may use it freely. Forks need a name of their own. Details.
