Hard Drive analysis in the MAM completes in 3 seconds instead of 10 minutes.

Hard Drives take 10 minutes to analyze in the MAM, while every other research node finishes in 3 seconds. This mod makes Hard Drive analysis take 3 seconds too. No balance changes beyond the timer.

Details

  • Pure C++ runtime patch: the hard drive research schematic's mTimeToComplete is set to 3s when a world loads. No vanilla assets are modified on disk, so it's save-safe, remove the mod and scans simply go back to 10 minutes.
  • A scan already in progress when you install/remove the mod keeps its original remaining time; only newly started scans use the new duration.
  • Works in multiplayer (research time is host/server authority) and on dedicated servers (Windows; Linux build not yet provided)
