About Floor Socket
From ficsit.appPower Outlets that snap to the floor (and go through it)!
Floor Socket
The __Floor Socket__ mod adds new buildable power sockets that work like their Wall Outlet counterparts, but snap to foundations/roofs/beams in a vertical orientation. Additionally, it includes Floor Double Sockets that will "punch through" the item they are snapped to dynamically (with some limitations).
New Buildables
- Six (6) new buildable power sockets
- Floor Socket Mk.1/Mk.2/Mk.3
- Floor Double Socket Mk.1/Mk.2/Mk.3
- Unlocked when purchasing the equivilant Wall Outlet packs in the Awesome shop (no additional cost)
Safe to Uninstall
Uninstalling the Floor Socket mod __will not__ remove any of the outlets you have placed. While the ability to build new Floor Sockets will be gone after uninstall, the existing Floor Sockets will all remain and continuing functioning fully.
Double Socket "Punch Through"
The __Floor Double Socket__ buildables, when placed, will attempt to "punch through" the object they are snapped to and create a mirrored power socket on the other side - connected to each other (similar to the Double Wall Outlet behavior, but with dynamic distance). Thouroughly tested on Foundations of varying sizes and shapes, roofs, and horizontal beams. It will not go through mulitiple foundations or objects. There may be some more obscure achitecture pieces that it doesn't work with - if you find one and would like me to take a look, checkout the contact info below to reach me on Discord.
The logic also includes a safety 'leash' of sorts, such that if the calculated mirror location is too far away, the second mirrored socket will simply not spawn.
Limitations
- Floor Sockets will not currently snap to existing wires like normal power poles when in build/hologram mode.
- Floor Sockets will not automatically be selected in build mode when dragging a wire off an existing Floor Socket.
_Both of the above are likely possible with a custom C++ hologram class, but is outside my current capabilities._
- Dismantling a Floor Double Socket will only dismantle the targeted half (unless you manually select both halves).

Multiplayer and Dedicated Server
- Lightly tested on Windows dedicated server and local IP multiplayer. Found no immediate issues and believe the mod should work correctly in both environment types. However, testing was not extensive. If you encounter issues or have questions, please reach out to me using the contact information listed below.
