What is this mod?

This is yet another mod which rebalances the base game, but this time it mostly going to be nerfs. Use it only if this is not your first playthrough and you want to feel the game in a new way.

As many can agree, oil-based fuel power is overpowered. Analysis of base-game recipes may show one of the primary culprits - Diluted Fuel Recipes. Not only it doubles, or even quadriples oil-to-fuel output compared to regular recipes, it is... A rather unrealistic recipe, you don't want to mix oil or its residue with water unless you want to get an oil jello.

The other suspect is Rocket Fuel in general - its energy and volume increases have been put to extremes by vanilla game. Besides, its already high MJ gives little reason to even consider Ionized Fuel, even if it's just for Drones.

Therefore, ~~possible workarounds have been discussed by "The Council", and~~ I have taken responsibility of making the tweaks.

P.S. Screenshots have been taken with Heavy Fluid Overhaul installed, multiply fluid amounts by 2 and divide Rocket Fuel's energy value by 2.

• Diluted Fuel recipe's fuel output has been halved.

• Diluted Packaged Fuel recipe has been removed and replaced with Fumed Silica alternate instead.

• If you have already unlocked Diluted Packaged Fuel before installing this mod, it won't be stripped from you, and it's fuel output will be halved like in Diluted Fuel recipe.

• Rocket Fuel's energy value has been changed from 3600 MJ to 3000 MJ.

• Turbofuel recipes have been adjusted so that their Fuel to Turbofuel is the same (10 Fuel -> 9 Turbofuel)

Compatibility

This mod may NOT work with other mods which tweak fuel power due to the way alternate recipes are detected. You have been warned.

Recommended Mods

• EasyAlt Rebalance: Most of the balancing has been made with this mod in mind. I highly recommend playing with it to consistently get progressively better recipes throughout your playthrough.
• Rocket Fuel Rebalance Patch: An alternative to this mod, different changes, different execution, probably much less vanilla compatibility.

This mod is going to be a part of the modpack intended for reworking vanilla game's nuclear power production. List of recommended mods is going to be updated upon its release.
