About Peaker Power Plants
From ficsit.appAdds "peaker" versions of coal and fuel generators.
Adds versions of the coal and fuel generators that regulate power to match grid demand (IRL peaker units). Current coal and fuel generator behavior is to run at full power all the time - this mod lets you build generators that adjust their output just like they used to do pre Update 4.
These versions are unlocked with a new tier 4 and tier 6 milestone. Nuclear plants are untouched - this effectively makes them 'baseload' plants that run all the time.
I was sufficiently annoyed by the changes to power that I just made this mod for me to play with pre-U4 generators that modulate power.
Known issue: Generator smoke and animations are buggy/missing. Power generation and fuel consumption still works though. Still an issue as of U8.
