About Train & Station Displays
From ficsit.appAdds customizable station displays showing upcoming trains, destinations, status information, and estimated arrival times.
Train & Station Displays
Train & Station Displays adds a functional timetable display for railway stations.
The display uses the size and appearance of a small Vanilla billboard while presenting live information about the trains connected to a nearby station. It is designed for placement directly beside a station and automatically links itself to the nearest valid train station.

Building the Display
The display is unlocked together with the Vanilla train technology in Tier 6.
You can find it in the Build Menu under:
Transportation → Trains
The construction cost is based on the Vanilla billboard recipe.
The display must normally be placed within approximately 5 metres of the outer boundary of a train station. This restriction is disabled inside the Blueprint Designer so that the display can be included in reusable Blueprints.
After construction, the display automatically searches for the nearest valid station. A station connection is not copied when using copy and paste or when placing a Blueprint. This ensures that every display connects to the station near its actual placement location.
Timetable Information
The first section displays the next relevant train for the connected station.
A train remains listed as the next train while it is approaching, docked at, or departing from the connected station. After it has left, the following arriving train becomes the next train.
Additional trains are ordered by their estimated arrival time, with the earliest arrival displayed first.
Arrival times are estimates. The calculation considers the train's route, intermediate stations, travel distance, and a standard station waiting time. Actual arrival times may vary because of signals, congestion, route changes, and other trains on the railway network.
Sign Customization
Press the interaction key on the display to open the sign editor.
The following visual properties can be changed:
- Foreground color
- Auxiliary color
- Background color
- Emissive brightness
- Matte or glossy material
Visual settings can be copied between displays. The linked station itself is intentionally not copied.
Multiplayer and Dedicated Servers
The mod includes build targets for:
- Steam
- Epic Games Store
- Windows Dedicated Server
- Linux Dedicated Server
Client and listen-server functionality has been tested. Dedicated-server builds compile successfully, but practical dedicated-server testing is still in progress.
The mod is required on both the server and all connecting clients.
Current Status
This is an Alpha release.
The main display functionality is operational, but additional testing is still required, especially for dedicated servers, multiplayer synchronization, existing save files, and long-running sessions.
Please back up important save files before testing Alpha versions.
