About Conveyor Lift Auto-Connect
From ficsit.appLike vanilla conveyor auto-connect, but vertical!
Blueprint Vertical Conveyor Auto-Connect
Automatically connects vertical conveyor paths when placing blueprints.
The mod creates vanilla Conveyor Lifts between compatible, aligned conveyor endpoints across blueprint boundaries:
Supported connections
- Conveyor Floor Hole ↔ Conveyor Floor Hole
- Conveyor Floor Hole ↔ Attachment vertical lift port
- Attachment vertical lift port ↔ Conveyor Floor Hole
(at least one of those sides needs to have a lift already connected)
Attachment means: Splitter/Merger, Smart and Programmable Splitters, Priority Mergers, and all compatible modded/future conveyor attachments that use the vanilla attachment lift-port API
Attachment ↔ Attachment lifts are not generated in vanilla, because vanilla does not support connecting those. It is possible however when a mod like https://ficsit.app/mod/VerticalLogisticsQoL enables that.
Other features
- Will inherit the lift tier and orientation from the already connected lift
- Will display the vanilla link-symbol in preview
- Will use vanilla build rules, like placement validation, (soft-)clearance, etc.
- Since everything resulting auto-connected lift from this is vanilla, you can continue the save without this mod safely.
Blueprint editing hint
Basically: Lift attachments are still a little finnicky in Satisfactory 1.2 (note: VerticalLogisticsQoL - mod might improve that).
After deleting part of an already-connected conveyor network inside a blueprint, rebuild the conveyor connections immediately adjacent to the new blueprint seam before saving.
Satisfactory can retain stale serialized connection state even when the remaining pieces still look correctly aligned.
This is particularly relevant when creating upper/lower variants from one fully connected master blueprint.
Multiplayer
Multiplayer has not been tested and is therefore not currently advertised as supported.
The implementation uses Satisfactory/SML's normal blueprint construction networking and no multiplayer-specific incompatibilities are currently known, but host/client and dedicated-server behavior remain unverified.

AI Usage
Disclaimer: I used generative AI (ChatGPT) extensively for design, code, debugging, documentation and artwork!
As someone who gets paid to write software for a living, I feel the need to defend myself for that: I like playing Satisfactory, but I have limited time. And since I expect CSS to eventually implement vertical auto-connect themselves, I just wanted to have this feature until then. So I decided to throw AI at it. I thoroughly in-game tested the mod myself, though, to make sure it works properly. Except multiplayer, I only play singleplayer and don't know how to test multiplayer properly.
