Steal police cars in Schedule I, GTA style. Windows IL2CPP, MelonLoader 0.7.3. Singleplayer / host only.

What it does

• Carjack a police car (F): walk up to a police car and press F. If a cop is inside, the game's pickpocket minigame opens on them with 3 items in their pockets. Hit all 3 green zones and the cops get thrown out and you take the car. It's tuned to be easy: zones about twice as wide as the easiest normal pickpocket zone, a slower slider, and no speed-up between hits. Miss one and the cop catches you: they come after you, and you're wanted dead or alive. Close the minigame to back off. While you're already wanted, there's no minigame: F just yanks the cop out. Parked police cars are stolen without it too.
• Instant dead-or-alive pursuit: the moment you steal a police car (carjacked, parked or at gunpoint), you're wanted at the Lethal (dead or alive) level, and the nearest station sends 4 officers after you. A carjacked cop also gets up and chases you on foot. Stealing a police car adds a Theft charge to your record.
• Gunpoint: aim a gun at a police car with cops in it for a moment, and they get out. Then press F to take the car.
• Police notice: carjacking (including the whole minigame), holding up a car, and the few seconds afterwards count as a crime in progress, just like pickpocketing or dealing. Any cop who can see you reacts the way they do when they catch you at those.
• You can't keep them: a stolen police car isn't sent back or hidden while you're using it, but it's never yours. Every day at the day change, and whenever you go to sleep, every stolen police car goes back to its station's parking lot. If you're driving one at the day change, it goes back once you get out. Police cars are never saved as yours, so logging out doesn't let you keep one either.
• Siren: while driving a police car, G toggles the lights and siren, and Shift+G mutes or unmutes just the siren.
• Faster and heavier: while you drive a police car it has 1.6× the top speed and is 4× as heavy. The engine, brakes and suspension are scaled up to match, so it handles the same but shoves other cars out of the way. Hitting a car or a person only costs a little speed: cars get knocked aside and people go flying. Walls and poles still stop you. The car goes back to normal when you get out.

Install

Import exports/FroggosGTA-1.0.0.zip into Thunderstore Mod Manager (Settings → Import local mod), or copy exports/FroggosGTA.dll into the profile's Mods folder.

Settings

The settings are in category [FroggosGTA] of UserData/MelonPreferences.cfg. Restart the game after changing them.

Notes

• A police car you've stolen is only usable by you while you're in it. It's never saved.
