Better Arrow Flight

Arrows from the bow fly faster and slow down less in the air, so they drop far less and stay flat over long distances. Every arrow type is changed, and how much is up to you.

Multiplayer

• Alone, as host or as a guest: your arrows fly the new way. Your hits are worked out by your own game, so what your arrow really hits follows your settings, whether the host has the mod or not.
• The game does not send an arrow's flight to the other players: each player's game draws the arrows of the others with its own arrow settings. For everyone to see arrows land where they really land, every player installs the mod, with the same settings.
• If someone does not have it, only the look is off, never the hits: they see your arrows drop short of where they really land, and you see theirs fly too far. An arrow stuck in something shows at its real spot for everyone.
• Nothing extra is sent over the network.

Settings

Change them in your mod manager's config editor (aznan.sotf.betterarrowflight.cfg) or in the game's Settings > Mods tab if you have Mod Config Menu:

• [General] Enabled: on or off (off = arrows fly as in the game).
• [Arrows]:
• SpeedMultiplier: launch speed, times the game's own (1.5 by default; 1 = the game's own). Faster arrows drop less and reach further.
• AirDragMultiplier: how much the air slows arrows down, times the game's own (0.5 by default; 1 = the game's own, 0 = not at all). Lower keeps them flat at long range.
• [Performance]: how often the mod checks which arrow is loaded while the bow is in your hand, and how often it looks again for a bow that is not ready yet in your hand.
• [Debug] FullLogging: writes each step to the BepInEx log, to help find a problem (off by default).

Changes apply while you play.

Aim indicators that use the game's own path prediction (such as Projectile Aim Indicator) follow the new flight.
