FastRopes (UE5 Revival)

FastRopes returns! The original 2020 mod has been fully rebuilt for Unreal Engine 5. This re-release brings the ropes back in a cleaner, more modular system - playable again with improved stability and server integration.

Installation

• Requires a UE5 Squad server with ModLoader or KOTH.
• Add the mod via ModLoader / KOTH Loader:
• /FastRopes/Blueprints/BP_FastRopeInjector.BP_FastRopeInjector_C
• On first run, the config file will be generated at:
• /ModLoader/FastRopes/FastRopes.json

Rope Mounts:

• Left
• Right
• Rear

Rope Length Presets:

• 0 → 60 ft
• 1 → 90 ft
• 2 → 120 ft

MountMesh Is an optional mesh to spawn that the rope is "attached" to

Controls

• Q → Deploy / cycle Left Rope
• R → Deploy / cycle Right Rope
• X → Deploy / cycle Rear Rope

When a mount is configured to cycle between deployed and dropped, these keys will toggle its state. Passengers use the same keys to interact with and slide down the targeted rope.

Gameplay

• Pilot possession attaches the FastRopeManager to the helicopter.
• Passengers automatically receive rope interaction controls.
• Ropes are spawned server-side for fairness, with clients rendering visuals.
• Dropped ropes will despawn after 5 seconds by default.

Notes

This is a re-release of the original 2020 FastRopes mod. The project has been cleaned up, rebuilt for UE5, and polished into a more modular format. All legacy features are retired - this version is dedicated exclusively to rope insertion, with ModLoader-style injection for maximum compatibility with other mods.
