FBG — FACTION & GAMEPLAY MOD

WORK IN PROGRESS / PLAYTEST

FBG is a Squad modification inspired by Global Escalation, focused on faction balance, gameplay variety and modernized equipment.

The goal is simple: Give every faction its own strengths while keeping both sides competitive.

FBG introduces new factions, reworks existing ones and adjusts weapons, vehicles, kits and equipment to create more varied and balanced matchups.

Balance is a core priority of FBG.

Some factions may have stronger infantry equipment, better vehicles, improved optics or more specialized kits. These advantages are intended to come with trade-offs that keep opposing factions competitive.

These factions are based on their vanilla Squad counterparts, with changes to equipment, kits, vehicles and overall balance.

GAMEPLAY & BALANCE

FBG is built around asymmetric balance.

Factions do not all receive the same weapons, vehicles or equipment. Instead, each faction is designed around its own strengths, weaknesses and playstyle.

For example:

• One faction may have stronger infantry equipment.
• Another may field better armor.
• Another may rely on mobility and specialized infantry.
• Irregular factions may rely more on unconventional tactics.

The aim is to make each matchup feel different while keeping the battle fair and competitive.

Balance will continue to evolve through playtesting and player feedback.
