By default, the Wall Light Battery will function mostly like a normal wall light, except that if it is currently on and the power cable loses power, it'll switch to draining from the battery. I personally expected this device to function instead like an "emergency backup light" where if power is LOST the light turns on, powered by the battery, until power is restored or the battery runs out. This mod changes it so that is how it functions.
It is possible to disable this functionality by setting the LogicType.Mode to 1. When the mode is set to 1, the light behaves like any other Wall Light, except it can also draw power from the battery instead of the power network.
Note: I was unable to provide custom Mode strings, you'll just have to remember that mode 0 is the "battery backup" mode and mode 1 is the "manual override" mode until I can figure out a way to change this. Sorry!
Instructions
It requires BepInEx to the installed with the StationeersLaunchPad plugin. See: StationeersLaunchPad
Safe to add/remove from save. Existing Wall Light Batteries should gain the new functionality when added.
Only the Stable branch is guaranteed to be supported. As the Beta branch can change rapidly, I may not always have the time to quickly update to it. It's still a good idea to report when Beta breaks this, as it gives me extra time to look in to it, but it may not get pushed until those changes are pushed to Stable!
