Creative Set
Infinite sources and drains for gas and liquid - as pipe parts and as canisters - plus a battery cell that is always full. Sandbox tools for laying out and testing builds, not progression parts.
Designing a filter stage, a cooling loop or a combustion setup mostly means waiting: producing the test medium, getting it to the right temperature, and then getting rid of it again. These parts remove that wait.
What you get
At the Pipe Bender
- Kit (Creative Gas & Liquid) - one kit holding four pipe parts. Cycle between them while placing, the same way you cycle pipe or wall variants: Creative Gas Source, Creative Gas Drain, Creative Liquid Source, Creative Liquid Drain. Each part only attaches to pipes of its own kind.
- Creative Gas Canister (Source) and Creative Liquid Canister (Source) - canisters that are always full of the selected medium at the set temperature.
- Creative Gas Canister (Drain) and Creative Liquid Canister (Drain) - canisters that are always empty.
At the Electronics Printer
- Creative Battery Cell (Infinite) - a battery cell that is always at 100 %.
Everything costs a couple of iron. These are tools for a test world, not a reward.
Gas sources and gas canisters carry ready-made mixtures as well as pure gases, including Air (CO2-Enriched) - breathable air with 5 % carbon dioxide in it, for a grow room that needs both.
The pipe parts
A source feeds the connected pipe network up to its set point - 6 MPa for gas, 6 litres for liquid - and tops it back up every tick. The one exception is the Volatiles/Nitrous fuel mix, which comes at about 1 MPa: above that it cannot be a gas without igniting. Draw as much as you like, it never runs out. Whatever is already in the line stays there; the source only adds what is missing.
A drain has nothing to set. It swallows whatever the line feeds it. Throughput can be capped in the BepInEx config if you would rather it did not empty a whole installation in one tick.
The canisters
Real canisters with the game's own models: they go into suits, welding torches, Tank Connectors - anywhere the matching canister fits. Source canisters are painted purple, drain canisters black; repaint them with a spray can if you like.
A source canister refills itself every tick with the selected medium at the set temperature - gas at 6 MPa, liquid to 90 % of the canister. Put one in your suit's air slot and you never run out of air; open its valve and it fills the room.
A drain canister empties itself every tick. As a suit's waste tank it never fills up; in a Tank Connector it empties the connected line.
How to set a source

[th]Tool[/th][th]Where[/th][th]What it does[/th]

Labelleranywhere on the part or canistersets the temperature in Kelvin

Screwdriveranywhere on the part or canistersteps to the next medium

Wrenchcanisters onlysteps to the previous medium

Labelleron the medium icon on top of a pipe partsets the medium directly, by ID from the list below

Both values are also readable and writable over logic - the temperature as Setting, the medium as Mode. For canisters that works while they sit in a Tank Connector.
Only temperatures at which the medium actually stays in that state can be entered. A liquid source will not let you boil its contents into a liquid pipe, and a gas source will not let you condense them. The valid range is shown on the part and is calculated from the game's own phase tables at the operating pressure. Fuel mixtures are also capped just below the temperature at which they ignite by themselves. Switching the medium also picks a sensible temperature for it - going from Steam to Coolant no longer leaves you at 840 K.
Media and their IDs
The ID is what a Labeller writes on the medium icon, and the value of Mode over logic. The same lists are in the Stationpedia entry of every source, so you do not have to come back here while building.
Gas mixtures

[th]ID[/th][th]Mixture[/th]

0Air (Breathable) - 75 % N2 / 25 % O2

1Air (Standard) - 70 % N2 / 30 % O2

2Air (Oxygen-Rich) - 50 % N2 / 50 % O2

18Air (CO2-Enriched) - 65 % N2 / 30 % O2 / 5 % CO2

3Fuel - 2 Volatiles / 1 Oxygen

4Fuel (Nitrous) - 1 / 1

Air (CO2-Enriched) is breathable - the same 30 % oxygen as the standard mixture, the 5 % carbon dioxide taken out of the nitrogen share. CO2 is not a toxin in this game, so the air stays safe while it feeds a grow room. It carries ID 18 instead of a place among the other mixtures because the ID is what gets saved and what logic writes; inserting it in the middle would have re-pointed every source in every existing world.
Pure gases 5 Oxygen, 6 Nitrogen, 7 Carbon Dioxide, 8 Volatiles, 9 Pollutant, 10 Nitrous Oxide, 11 Steam, 12 Hydrogen, 13 Hydrazine, 14 Helium, 15 Coolant, 16 Hydrochloric Acid, 17 Ozone
