Deadly Toxins

NOTE: This mod is compatible with StationeersLaunchPad. If you have StationeersLaunchPad installed it will automatically be loaded by subscribing, no additional steps required. See: https://github.com/StationeersLaunchPad/StationeersLaunchPad

If you do not have and do not wish to install StationeersLaunchPad, you will have to install bepinex and manually copy the dll file from the mods scripts folder to the bepinex plugin directory for the mod to be installed. WARNING: Without StationeersLaunchPad this mod WILL NOT be automatically enabled by simply subscribing to it.

Description: The days of breathing toxic atmospheres are over!

With this mod you will not be able to breathe in atmospheres that contain 10% or more of toxins or other gasses and liquids that would cause trouble breathing. The closer to the 10% threshold, the harder it will be to breathe and at 10% and above you will rapidly go towards fainting and becoming unconscious and eventually death.

For humans to survive you will also need to keep a mixed atmosphere of oxygen and an inert gas (like nitrogen) in order to avoid oxygen poisoning. There is no equivalent of oxygen poisoning for zrilians as there is no lore to suggest they would get sick of high consentrations of volatiles.

The mod comes with new starting conditions that are made to balance the start of your game with this mod, it is highly recommended that you use one of these starting conditions as I cannot guarantee that you can succeed with starting conditions from vanilla or other mods.

It is NOT recommended to use mixed air in the oxygen tank of your suit as the suit atmosphere is too small for mixed air to be effective, instead it will cause you to suffocate due to low oxygen. Instead, prioritize building a small habitat that can hold mixed air and use that to take a breahther every once in a while.

Toxic gasses differ for different species, the specifics can be altered if there are good reasons so I am open for discussion in the comments as to what gasses should or should not be toxic to which species. For the time being this is the current setup: Toxic gasses for humans: - Pollutants (POL) - Volatiles (VOL) - Carbon Dioxide (CO2)

Additionally Nitrous Oxide (NOS) will also cause breathing difficulties at higher levels but the limit is much higher than toxic gasses and is above the point at which you will go unconscious.

Toxic gasses for zrilians: - Pollutants (POL) - Oxygen (O2)

Once again Nitrous Oxide (NOS) will cause breathing difficulties at high levels, for zrilians it is much higher than for humans though, zrilians also have a higher tolerance in the vanilla game before passing out.

NOTE: Most numbers in the mod are configurable so feel free to have a peak at the configuration in bepinex/config/DeadlyToxins.cfg (or in-game in the workshop menu if you have StationeersLaunchPad installed) and customize your experience to fit your needs and desires :D
