Star Trek Replicator
⚠️ Requires BepInEx and StationeersLaunchPad to run ⚠️ In multiplayer, the host and every player must be on the same version of the mod ⚠️ Still new: please report any issues
Make almost any item in the game from electrical power alone, and now the big things too: tanks, already filled if you like.
This is a fun, flavour mod inspired by Star Trek. It is not meant to be balanced against the rest of the game: it is here because having a replicator on your station is fun.
It adds two machines. The Matter Replicator is a unit with an open alcove over a lit tray and a glass console above. The Industrial Replicator is a floor pad under an emitter, with a console beside it, for everything too big for the alcove. Pick something, press MAKE, and motes of light gather on the pad and become it. Neither takes ingots, ore or reagents: only power, and plenty of it.

Features
The Matter Replicator
- Makes any item except gases and liquids: no ice, and no canisters that come filled
- Pick an item with the < and > buttons, or press FIND to search the whole list
- The screen shows the selected item, what it will cost and how long it will take
- The item forms on the tray and stays there until you take it. One item per press
- Two small grid squares wide, one deep and 1.85 m tall, on a frame
The Industrial Replicator (new in 0.4)
- Makes everything the Matter Replicator makes, and the large portable things: portable gas and liquid tanks, the portable scrubber, air conditioner, generator and hydroponics, crates
- Makes tanks and canisters already filled: press CONTENTS to step through every gas (for a gas container) or every liquid (for a liquid one)
- Set the pressure of a gas or how full a liquid container is, and the temperature, with SELECT and the - and + keys
- It keeps every setting inside what the container and its contents can stand: a gas stays a gas, a liquid stays a liquid, and the pressure stays under the container's limit. What happens to a tank of liquid nitrogen in a warm room afterwards is up to you
- What it makes stands free on the pad. It will not start another until the pad is clear
- Two metres square and one storey tall, on a frame, turned with the rotate key as you place it. One power and data port at the back
- It draws up to 20 kW while making something, so it needs heavy cable: normal cable will burn
The look
- On both machines, glittering motes stream from the emitter and the pad and gather on the thing being made, which forms out of them in its own colours
- The pad and emitter brighten as the job goes, and flash as the thing arrives
What it costs
- Every item costs the energy of its normal recipe, plus 25 kJ for each unit of material that recipe would have used. Large things cost what their kits do
- Ingots and ores cost 25 kJ per unit. Items nothing else can print, such as food and plants, cost a flat 250 kJ
- Every gas and liquid has its own rarity, from nitrogen to hydrazine, and the rarer it is the more power and time it takes. No job takes longer than ten minutes
- The Matter Replicator never draws more than 4 kW and the Industrial Replicator 20 kW: a costly job takes longer instead
- All of this can be changed in the mod settings
Logic
- Both work like any printer: RecipeHash, CompletionRatio, Activate, On
- The Industrial Replicator adds Setting (the contents), PressureSetting (kPa), Ratio (how full, for a liquid), TemperatureSetting (kelvin) and Quantity (moles)
The kits
- Kit (Matter Replicator), Electronics Printer: 30 Steel, 20 Copper, 15 Silicon, 15 Electrum, 10 Gold, 10 Solder
- Kit (Industrial Replicator), Electronics Printer: 60 Steel, 40 Copper, 30 Silicon, 30 Electrum, 20 Gold, 20 Solder

Settings
- EnergyPerMaterialUnit (25000): energy in joules for each unit of material
- EnergyWithoutRecipe (250000) and EnergyLargeWithoutRecipe (1000000): for things no printer makes
- EnergyMultiplier (1): multiplies every cost
- MaxPowerDraw (4000) and IndustrialMaxPowerDraw (20000): the most power each machine draws, in watts. 0 removes the limit
- TimeMultiplier (1): multiplies how long items take
- MaxJobSeconds (600): the longest any one job takes. 0 removes the limit
- BlockedItems: things neither replicator must ever make
- AllowContents (on): whether tanks and canisters can be made filled
- EnergyPerMole (500), RareGasCostFactor (2), LiquidCostFactor (0.1), HeatCostShare (0.1): what contents cost
- Diagnostics, ShimmerDepthOffset, GlowByPropertyBlock: for finding out why the forming effect cannot be seen, should that happen with a lighting mod
In multiplayer the host's settings decide what things cost.

A note on balance
A machine that makes anything from power removes the need to mine and smelt for whoever builds one, and one that makes full tanks removes the need for atmospherics. Power is the only brake, so the default costs are steep. If you want it gentler or harsher, change EnergyMultiplier.

Goes well with
Star Trek Phaser: a hand phaser with four settings, Stun, Kill, Heat and Mine.
Star Trek Transporter: a transporter room for your base, pads to beam down to, and a badge to bring you home.
