18 years after its inception, the map formerly known as 2tpl_mine and sd_red_planet is finally complete!
This is an old-school style Payload Race map set in an artesian waterwell high in the mountains, inspired by Hydro, Well, Coldfront, Pipeline and, to an extent, Turbine.
The goal with this map was to take the original premise - a linear push-and-pull inside a big long corridor, and find a way to make it fun.
Over the course of many playtests, the alternative routes have been added that solve the issues associated with a linear map, while not taking away from the feeling of a team push. The playtests have helped to make map not prone to stalemates, but also not prone to back-caps, something Payload Race typically struggles with.
