Come along to...

Priory

A pristine, frosted cathedral map created for speedy roll outs, chaotic mid fights and sneaky flank opportunities.

Setting

This beautiful romanesque cathedral has been struck by a freak snow storm, but not to worry! Inside the vast halls of this Priory are blazing torches to warm your hands, and candle-lit stairways to guide your path. The mercs have been sent to claim this Cathedral in the name of their team, because the monolithic spire that sits atop makes for the perfect radio tower...

There is a large focus on the feeling of coziness and warmth in the inside areas, and an equal focus on the bleakness and cold outside. The contrast makes for a visually striking experience as you walk through different areas of the map, and strongly sells *just how freaking cold it is out in that snow storm!*

The map has been carefully designed to fit into tf2, despite its unusual theme. The Cathedral has spytech elements strewn all throughout, giving a purpose for the mercs to fight there, and the environment is isolated and remote - trying to mirror old snowy maps like Viaduct and Coldfront.

Gameplay

Priory is a Standard KOTH Map, but with a unique layout which really makes it feel like a traditional English Cathedral site.

The map features a wide variety of gameplay spaces, allowing for ample opportunities for all classes to shine. Its packed full of open areas and spots for close ranged encounters, flanking paths and ambush spots, you can even go up into the rafters to surprise your enemies from above!

The layout was originally made for a summer version of this map, but I wasn't fully happy with how it turned out - so I decided to revamp the visuals of the entire map for winter. All of the interiors, exteriors, environment and out of bounds areas are completely re-artpassed, to give the map a more polished and coherent feel!

I hope you enjoy!
