This submission is for Operation Incantation.
Howdy Valve and commenters,
This spell could be implemented in a couple ways.. for example, recycling the paint can code to remap them to the color tint, or a few individual variants of the spell but in a small set of colors (like the footprint spells).
I've included my proof of concept implementation which is based off the latter implementation, I've done my best to make it as easy to merge as possible.
