Revamped and significantly expanded in scope and content!

From sun-drenched beaches to snow-capped mountain ranges, to the metropolis of San Francisco and the barren oil fields of Death Valley. Unturned's first officially curated insane sized map!

Our main focus was to give players the feeling of being an explorer of the beautiful golden state! Countless activities, easter eggs, secrets, hidden locations, and survivors are scattered throughout its vast territory. In addition, we offer you extensive progression that doesn’t end at the first or even the second deadzone, but goes further, offering bigger and bigger rewards. The map features at least three large safezones, which can offer you over 100 quests!

We are proud to bring you the Golden State of California, the largest and most content rich map in the game!

Hosting Your Own

To host California 2 on your own server... 1. Install the map by adding its Workshop file ID (3707778928) to your server's WorkshopDownloadConfig.json file. 2. Load the map on startup by adding the Map California2 option to your server's Commands.dat file. 3. Your server should automatically download its 1 dependency, being the map assets/bundles. If not, you can manually add its Workshop file ID (3711646503) as well.

FAQ

• Q) I spawned with max skills, is this intended? A) Yes! The map was designed around these stats for gunplay & parkour in mind.
• Q) I see vanilla items spawning in Monterey's gun shop (and other places), how do I fix this? A) There are a variety of causes, but you're most likely subscribed to a map or asset reupload from California Legacy. Double check your workshop files, and error logs (Workshop tab on the main menu) to verify you have no conflicts.
• Q) What happened to the old California? Can I play it again? A) Yes, California Legacy is still available for download, but please note that it is incompatible with California 2, and having both enabled will cause errors.
• Q) The map's visuals are broken on MacOS! Help! A) From what we've seen, this is a couple of issues intersecting, and somewhat out of our control. A hot fix is to run the game using OpenGL, you can do this by adding -force-glcore to the game's launch options. We've hopefully addressed this in v2.0.0.2.
