Please note that this is a refresh, NOT a remaster. While some new custom content was added, do not expect a complete overhaul. This is a non-curated refresh of the France map.

[*]Cotentin Arsenal remade as Carentan: a nice bocage town with a historic beach not far. [*]Le Mans Hospital remade as Le Mans, now featuring the eponymous racing circuit and farm. Hospital moved to Bordeaux. [*]Marseille remade as Toulon Naval Base, featuring a separate submarine dock (Lvl 1 gasmask deadzone) [*]Camp Ariege remade as Camp Pyrenees, Bernard’s Pond remade as Camp Occitanie [*]Biarritz remade: now featuring a golf course, marina, and coastal town w/ casino. [*]Flamanville Power remade, featuring a power plant and subterranean naval compound (Lvl 2 hazmat suit deadzone) [*]Port de Calais remade as Port du Havre: check out the “Chunnel” north of here. [*]Paris remade: featuring a more accurate layout, and labyrinth of catacombs, metro tunnels, and sewers beneath. [*]Chateau de Versailles remade as Versailles, now featuring the palace w/ evacuation camp, town, and moved the gendarmerie HQ here. [*]North border checkpoint turned into truck weighing station [*]Northeast Mine remade, with secrets beneath [*]Argonne Forest renamed Forest of Orleans, chapel turned into a survivalist loot location with the OG catacombs enterable behind it. [*]South tunnel border changed to survivalist loot spot with gas station [*]Camp Grenoble remade as a skiing area, airstrip, and rally course. Merged into Mont Blanc. [*]Gare 17 remade as Lyon, featuring a town with ranger compound [*]Marseille re-added: more west of original spot, now gives a riviera vibe and also features a small evacuation camp. [*]Safezone island moved closer to mainland [*]Slightly more realistic highway and rail infrastructure (2 trains now) [*]Easter eggs pertaining to both world wars, as well as recent thievery that occurred in late 2025. [*]Loot Progression Changes: Dozens of new spawntables, overall aiming for a harder survival experience. For guns, this means an emphasis on old school/antique weaponry. There now should be a reason to visit every corner of the map. [*]5 new lore notes added: explains what happened at RULA and reasonably fits into the existing official Unturned storyline [*]"Trucking Market" : an XP grinding minigame where you can deliver goods from NPCs. [*]Some new objects, flags, and decals to liven things up a bit. [*]The original France NPC questline is fully compatible with France Refreshed. Enjoy the old questline with new scenery.
