Coga Cosmos
Space and celestial pieces for the hammer, in Valheim's own style: planets, stars, nebulae, galaxies, an observatory, glowing marble, and light that moves you around your base. Every piece is generated by code when the game starts: the package has no model or texture files (see How it's made below).
Cosmos tab
- Planet lamps: Terra, Gas Giant, Moon, Ember, Frost, Ocean, Dune and Toxic, each in normal, Large and Giant.
- Space objects: Orrery and Grand Orrery, Black Hole, Comet, Asteroid, Asteroid Belt, Meteorite, Spiral Galaxy, Binary Worlds.
- Cosmos Move (first entry): select it and click a Cosmos piece to pick it up and move it. See Building below.
- Light and decor: Star Canopy, Star Cluster, Aurora Curtain, Constellations, Amethyst Cluster, Frost Crystal Cluster, Sunstone Cluster, Armillary Sphere, World Map Table (a map of the world you are in), Living Constellation, Observer's Dais, Celestial Chandelier, Starfall, Nebula Rift (violet, blue, green, yellow or red; decoration only).
- Searchlight (Moonlight, Amber, Red, Orange, Gold, Green, Cyan, Blue, Violet, Pink): a crystal lamp sweeping a long cone of light, with a real spotlight.
- Bright Sun: a distant sun, a white-gold glowing ball in layers of light with turning corona rays. Lights up its surroundings.
- Fiery Sun: a burning sun wrapped in licking flames, with flame jets and flying embers.
- Polychrome: a crystal prism that puts on a light show. Sixteen club and cosmic scenes cycle on their own, crossfading between them: Spectrum Sweep, Mirror Ball, Scanner (which locks onto the nearest player within 30 m), Chase, Lighthouse (two beams sweeping the horizon), Laser Grid, Aurora, Heartbeat, Twin Rotors, Spiral Galaxy, Sunrise, Colour Pop, Fireworks, Pendulum Wave, Breathing Prism and Nebula Wash. The prism turns to steer the light, wearing a crown of rainbow crystal shards. Everyone sees the same scene at the same moment. Hover it to see what is playing. Press E to lock it to the scene you like (Alt+E goes back), and press it until it says Auto to let it cycle again.
- Laser Link (Red, Green, Cyan, Violet): a crystal node that draws a laser to the nearest node of the same colour within 30 m.
Cosmos Utility tab
Pieces that do something. Beams change height with Shift + [ / ] (only the column stretches, and the effect follows it).
- Light Beacon (Gold, Azure, Violet, Emerald): a crystal pedestal with a pillar of light. Press E to travel to the next beacon of the same colour within range; Shift+E names it (beacons are visited in name order). Each colour is its own network. Everything can travel, ores included. You arrive on the small glowing ring in front of the beacon, facing the way its arrows point.
- Hyperlight Tunnel (Cyan, Violet, Gold): a 4 m tube of light you walk through. Run the way its spiral of light races and you go faster. Segments snap end to end into one continuous spiral.
- Gravity Well (Azure, Violet, Emerald): a 12 m beam of low gravity. Float up like in water; Jump rises faster, Crouch sinks, and you steer freely. No fall damage for a moment after you leave. A spiral of light climbs the column.
- Slowfall Well (Null, Dusk, Ash): a 12 m column of nullified gravity. Inside it you fall slowly, like wearing a feather cape; Crouch drops at normal speed. A pale spiral and "minus" marks sink slowly down it.
- Clearlight Beam (Pale, Azure, Violet): clears the Mistlands mist around it, like a Wisp light (it uses the game's own mist clearing).
- Warmth Beam (Amber, Rose, Gold): within 5 m you stay warm, like by a fire. Keeps Cold and Freezing away. It does not count as a fire for resting.
- Launch Pad (Lime, Azure, Rose): stand on it and jump about five times higher, with no fall damage for a few seconds after.
- Hard-light Bridge (Cyan, Gold, Violet): a 2 x 4 m slab of solid light you can walk on; snaps end to end and side by side.
Cosmos Celestial tab
Valheim's black-marble building set in four glowing styles: Star-veined, Starfield (twinkling), Pulsing and Aurora. Each style has all 16 shapes: Floor 2x2, Floor Triangle, Floor Tile 1x1, Floor 8x8, Wall 2x2, Wall 2x4, Block 1x1, Block 2x1, Block 2x2, Column, Column Wide, Arch, Stair, Slope 1x2, Plinth and Cornice (for example Aurora Wall 2x4). They snap, support and break like vanilla black marble.
Also here: the Planetarium Floor (a 6 m disc with a star map), the Star-veined Pillar and the Star-veined Floor Tile.
Cosmos Observatory tab
Twelve skies each: Rose Nebula, Teal Nebula, Gold Nebula, Gaseous Clouds, Aurora, Black Starfield, Galaxy Core (a spiral galaxy overhead whose glow breathes), Milky Way, Twilight (a warm glowing horizon), Star Nursery (two nebulae mixing, with drifting dust), Cosmic Storm (lightning flashes) and Deep Field (distant galaxies). Inside a dome the sky slowly wheels overhead, and some skies have shooting stars.
- Sky Dome (8 m) and Small Sky Dome (4 m): domes on a 2 m drum that you walk inside (about 6 m and 4 m tall). Dark worked iron on the outside, scattered with twinkling starlight; open sky on the inside. They snap onto the wall tops of an 8 x 8 or 4 x 4 room.
- Sky Ceiling (4 x 4 m) and Small Sky Ceiling (2 x 2 m): panels of sky facing down that snap like floors. Snap them under a roof: from inside you see the sky, from above they are invisible, so your roof looks normal from outside.
For a real open sky: the Open Dome Frame (8 m of iron ribs with a bronze rim and crown, nothing between them) and the Oculus Roof (an 8 x 8 m walkable marble roof with a round opening; leave it open or put a Sky Ceiling under it). Both snap onto wall tops.
- Telescope (Bronze, Celestial): a telescope on a bronze tripod, slowly tracking across the sky.
