About DudeWhatAreMyStats
From ThunderstoreYour stats on one key press, with the game paused while you read. Scoreboard of every player, including ones who are offline: kills, deaths, K/D, bosses, time played and best skill.
Dude, What Are My Stats?
Early alpha. Your stats on one key press, and a scoreboard of everyone you play with.
- Press I anywhere to open the panel. No inventory, no menus, no clicking through a compendium.
- The game pauses while you read, exactly as far as the ESC menu would.
- The Scoreboard tab ranks everyone who runs this mod, online now or not. Click a column to sort by it.
- The Details tab breaks one player's stats into sections, with their skills and the creatures
they have killed most.
- The kill count knows what it killed: your own pets and the deer and the fish are counted
apart from the things that were actually trying to kill you.
- It records what kills you -- which creature, what it was holding, and everyone else who was
in the fight. Valheim never writes that down.
- Optionally, a small always-on player list with everyone's death count.
Install it on your own game and the server needs nothing: everyone online who also runs the mod shows up. Install it on the server as well and the board also remembers players who are not online, each marked with how long ago they were last seen. Players without the mod never appear.
The scoreboard
| Column | What it is | |---|---| | Player | Your own row is gold and marked (you). Anyone not online is marked with how long ago they were last seen, such as (2d ago). | | Kills | Creatures that were hostile. Pets, deer, fish and chickens are counted in their own columns, not here. Kills Column Hostile Only off puts this back to the game's own total of everything that ever died by your hand. | | Tame | Somebody's pets. Off by default; Show Tame And Critter Columns adds it. See below: part of this is an assumption for old kills. | | Critters | Things that could not fight back at all: deer, hare, fish, gulls. Off by default, same setting. | | Deaths | Every death. | | K/D | Kills per death. With no deaths yet this is simply your kill count, the way scoreboards usually show it. | | Bosses | Boss kills. | | Played | Active play time. Valheim only counts this while you are moving about, so it runs behind wall-clock time, and standing in a base AFK adds nothing. | | Nemesis | The creature that has killed you most, and how often. Empty until the mod has watched a death: see below. | | Best skill | Your highest skill and its level. |
Click any row to open that player's Details. Click a column header to sort by it, and again to flip the direction. The sort is remembered between sessions.
Offline rows say how old they are. A player who is online answers for themselves, so their numbers are current. Anyone else is shown from the server's last record of them, marked (2d ago) or similar, so nobody argues over a number that turns out to be a fortnight stale. If the server does not run the mod there is nowhere to keep those records, and the board shows only the players online to answer.
What you killed
Valheim files a kill under the species and nothing else. That is enough to answer some of this retroactively and not the rest, and the panel is careful about which is which.
Hostile, tame, critters and bosses come from what a species is, which never changes, so your existing kills sort themselves out with no record of the kills needed. The mod reads your world's own creatures for it: the faction each belongs to, whether it carries an attack at all, whether it can be tamed. A creature from another mod is classified by the same rules. dwams_creatures lists every one of them with its biome, health and classification, and is worth a look before you trust the numbers.
Whether the wolf was a pet is the one thing the past cannot give up. That is a fact about that wolf, not about wolves, and the game never wrote it down. So Assume Tame Share tells the mod what to assume, per species, for kills it was not there for. It ships assuming your old boar, wolf, hen and chicken kills were your own animals, which is right for a world with a full pen and wrong for a fresh character, so change it to suit: Wolf:70 for a world that killed some of each, Boar:0 to count them all wild. dwams_creatures prints the names to use.
The assumption only ever touches kills nothing watched. From 0.11.0 the pet flag and the star level are recorded as kills happen, and the Details tab shows the game's count against the number this mod actually saw. The gap between them is exactly what gets assumed, and it shrinks every time you play. A kill you make today is never guessed at.
One hole worth knowing about: the details come from whichever player's game owns the creature, which is how Valheim credits the kill too. If that player does not run the mod, nobody is told, and the kill falls into the unwatched pile with your old ones.
Also in the Details tab, from data the game was already keeping:
- Kills by weapon - unarmed, magic, ranged and melee. Valheim has recorded these per creature
since 1.0, in four slots next to the total, and nothing has ever read them.
- Toughness killed, the health of everything you fought added up, and the toughest single thing
you have killed. Pets are left out of both.
Kill difficulty is the one part that cannot be backdated, so it starts empty and fills up as you play. Every kill from now on is stamped with how far the world had got at the time -- which boss had fallen, which is world state everyone on a server shares -- and compared against the biome the creature lives in. That gives at your level or above, a biome ahead or more, an average gap, and your best kill: a two-star troll killed before the Elder is a different thing from the same troll killed after Yagluth, and this is the only way to tell them apart. The section stays hidden until there is something in it.
