No Refunds for Portals
A simple mod designed to discourage “pocket portals.”
What It Does
Deconstructing or destroying a portal will not return its ingredients (e.g. surtling cores, fine wood).
Portals become permanent infrastructure rather than disposable travel tools.
Why Use This?
Adventures become more meaningful when:
- You build field camps for rest.
- You cook in the wild.
- You journey back to established outposts before using portals.
Disposable portals are still possible, but rarely worth the loss of materials.
Features
- No material refund when dismantling portals
- No material refund when destroying portals
- No configuration required
Mod Compatibility
- This mod blocks material refunds for any object that behaves like a portal
(i.e., any object with a TeleportWorld component attached).
It should therefore be compatible with mods that add portals, such as Advanced Portals.
Multiplayer
For consistent behavior, this mod should be installed on the server. However, this has never been tested in multiplayer.
